Today, we're going to be installing the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part number RM-154. Now we're going to begin up here at the front of the vehicle. Now we've gone ahead and put it up on our lift so that we can make things a little bit easier for you to see what we're doing. Now to begin with, we're going to go ahead and lower down this center belly piece here, this plastic piece. There's several fasteners that we're going to need to take out, there's some push-style fasteners, as well as just some bolts that we'll need to remove as well. Now to remove the push fasteners, take a Philips head screwdriver, unscrew the center section a little, then take a trim panel removal tool or a flat head screwdriver. Slide the rest of the fastener out. I go ahead and take one of the other style fasteners so that you can see that as well. We'll go ahead and continue removing the fasteners. more

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2013 Hyundai Elantra

Sending in our 2013 Hyundai Elantra. We'll be installing the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, Part Number RM-155. To begin with here, we'll take the long wire that has a plug on both ends. We'll actually snip one of the plugs off because we will not be needing it on this particular application. Now, as you can see, this vehicle already has the baseplate installed on it, so we'll be rodding the wire and tying it in right near the center of the baseplate area. To rod our wire, we will be using an old section of airline tubing to help us pull the wire through the inching department and underneath the vehicle. We're going to go ahead and take our piece of airline tubing and start from the engine compartment and rod it down in front of the radiator where we'll pull the four-flat out. Now, it's a good idea to leave a little extra wiring here in case you want to add the different style plug instead of the four-flat, whether it'd be a four or six round at a later time. more

With that installed, we'll go ahead and take our four pole here on the front of the vehicle and attach it to our bracket. With that done, we'll go ahead and route our wiring toward the back of the vehicle to the taillights. Now as we are routing our wiring, we'll want to make sure that we stay away from any hot components such as the vehicles exhaust or moving components like the vehicle suspension in order to keep our wire in good shape. This will prevent it from getting hot like it would next to your vehicles exhaust or from being broken like it would from being next to your vehicles suspension. Now back here, on the back of the vehicle, we'll find a rubber grommet on the drivers side rear fender. We'll go ahead and cut the grommet to allow our wiring to pass through it.Were now in the vehicles trunk. more
